Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 26, 2026

Welcome to SEO & GEO Toolkit. Your privacy is not a 'feature'—it is a core pillar of our product architecture. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data across our website, Chrome Extension, and account system.

What we do

  • ✓Mostly local SEO audits in your browser
  • ✓End-to-end encryption (AES-256)
  • ✓Total transparency on AI credits

What we NEVER do

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Read your passwords or history
  • Use your data for advertising

1. Local Processing by Default

Most technical SEO audits run locally inside your browser. The extension can read the current page URL, metadata, headings, links, images, structured data, visible text and rendered HTML to generate diagnostics, and this local audit data stays in your browser unless you explicitly use a cloud-backed feature.

2. Account & Billing Data

If you create an account, we process only the data required to authenticate you, manage your plan and show your remaining credits, including email, account identifiers and subscription status. Payment data is handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

3. AI Assistant Data

When you use the AI assistant, we send your prompt together with the relevant page context needed to answer your request, such as selected SEO modules or specific HTML fragments. We use this data only to provide the response, usage metering and account support, and not to sell data or serve ads.

4. Cookies, Redirects & Advanced Diagnostics

If you open the cookie manager or redirect tools, the extension may read, display, edit or remove cookies for the active website and inspect redirect-related headers needed for the requested diagnosis. These operations are user-triggered and are processed inside the browser unless a sync feature is explicitly enabled.

5. Cloud Sync & Analytics

If you enable account sync, we store selected settings such as UI preferences and blocked-site rules in your account so they can follow you across devices. We may also record limited product analytics events related to the AI assistant to improve reliability and billing support.

6. Chrome Web Store Commitments

We follow the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy. We do not sell personal data, we do not use page data for advertising, and we limit remote processing to the features that require it.

7. Security, Retention & Contact

Data is encrypted in transit. Browser-side audit data remains in local extension storage until you clear it, and account data is retained only as needed for service delivery, legal compliance and abuse prevention. For privacy requests: devtool.genius@gmail.com
